Emel has recently created a music interview/documentary with students from Ashmole Acdemy.

With Ashmole Academy being her old secondary school, Emel approached them about:

1- Performing in the school assembly
2 - Creating a music video with the students.

This was to get young students to collaborate and be involved in the creation of her video. The song was for 'London Sky' taken from Emel's album 'Not afraid of heights'.

Emel:

"I wanted the school to see that as an X student, I have grown in to an established song-writer, musician and that my message is to say that, you can achieve your dreams if you persist."

"I gave them a Buzz word (Creative word, i.e. London - Buss, weather, hot air balloon) and presented the project to year 9 students. I had 20-30 mins to get the music video complete, from start to finish. All these elements tie in with my track. The students cut out pictures, painted and drew some amazing images that you will get to see in the interview/mini documentary."

"Then we shot the music video. This will be continued in more schools, and eventually be one big music video. This will be an on going project this year."

With the full production coming soon, it is expected that the project will help give students the confidence to take an interest or even pursue a career in music.
