Emerging out of London’s inner city of thriving British music is an exciting, vibrant and fresh talent by the name of GTsolo. GT standing for “Great Talent” complements him well as the 25 year old South London resident has been praised repeatedly for his unique creation and sound of music not only as a lyricist but also a producer. Alongside Dwayne Simpson as the founders of YehBwoy, GT’s musical legacy stretches far over 9 years, where the formulation of a unique style has emerged, naturally combining an underground sound with a gritty and infectious commercial edge.

Although still very much considered a ‘new’ artist, GT is no short of experience whether on the stage, in the studio or on radio.

During his early days of music, he regularly attended radio sets crafting his skills within the Grime genre, attending sets on stations such as at Axe Fm, Freeze Fm, Mixing radio and OnTop Fm.

Having released a successful run of Mix-tapes between 2008 and 2011, (Tape Pack vol.1, Perfect Blend, Grinding Sessions) GT has embarked on numerous performances including many of London’s most prestigious nightclubs (Oceania, Aura, Plan B, & Liquid, Sound, PentHouse) alongside numerous showcases (Iluvlive, Milly’s World, Time2Network).

Much of GT’s lyrical content derives from personal and life experiences, tackling social issues is an angle in which he believes to be of high importance. In relation to his musical style & personal beliefs, GT has also performed in several Universities/schools (LSE, Kingston, South Bank) and charity events such as Cancer awareness, ACLT and various Anti- Gun crime campaigns.

Aside from being a lyricist, GT has also delved into acting, performing at a young age at his local theatre (Fairfield Halls) as well as numerous plays, participating in the British film ‘Goldfish Memoirs’. Other acting attributes include filming and directing in a first light film production entitled ‘Assassination Moonwalker’ and more recently making a cameo in the UK smash hit ‘Street Dance 3D’.

The release of GT’s third Mixtape (Grinding Sessions), caught the Godfather of Grime’s (Wiley) attention prompting a call up to be selected for ‘Wiley’s Elusive UK Tour’ in 2011. The sold out tour played out in various cities across the UK including the 02 Academy in London, Islington. The Grinding Sessions Mixtape also granted GT a OMA nonimation for‘Best Newcomer’ in 2011 along with considerable underground radio play (Rinse FM, DejaVu, Westside Radio) and cable network television rotation (Channel U).

2013 saw the arrival of GT’s clothing & brand website (YehBwoy.com) whilst also the 1st of a 2 part EP series entitled ‘DayDreaming’. The response to GT’s 1st DayDreaming EP was well received gaining great reviews and features on the most prominent emerging music sites (MTV WrapUp, SBTV, LinkUp TV, Pardon My Blog) The EP also saw GT embark on his first London Tour which included opening for UK r’n’b singer Angel and performances at 02’s inc club.

2014 looks to set to be an exciting year for the OMA nominee with the launch of the online YehBwoy clothing store, as well as the release of two musical projects; the 2nd DayDreaming EP and his official CD release AfterHours, GT is definitely one to keep your eyes on!
