Deanna Rodger

Deanna Rodger is an actor and spoken word poet.

She is the youngest UK Poetry Slam Champion (2007). She completed vocational acting training in The National Youth Theatres (NYT) REP Company 2012.

She has written and performed as a poet and actor in 2012 Olympic Team Welcome Ceremonies (NYT commission), Buckingham Palace (NYT commission), Speakers House (NYT commission), 10 Downing street (somewhere to_ commission) and Honey Coated Dream (Lyric Hammersmith commission).

She co runs Chill Pill (Albany Deptford, Soho theatre) and Come Rhyme With Me (London and Brighton in association with Spread The Word and New Writing South) and is in poetry collectives: Rubix, Point Blank Poets and Keats House Poetry Forum. She is also Poet Director of Podium Poets, a poetry collective established by Spread The Word, and is currently developing her one woman show London Matter.
