The Banter Thiefs

The Banter Thiefs

Motherwell four-piece The Banter Thiefs have managed to craft a number of songs which boast a high level of musical ability, catchy melodies and a lyrical quality that allows lead vocalist David Clark to make local Lanarkshire references and observations while still managing to produce songs which can strike a chord with those from outwith the area. The band have also managed to develop a confident stage presence and chemistry thanks to an ever-increasing experience of playing live over the past few years. And if that wasn't enough, their loyal, loud and lively band of followers always make for an explosive atmosphere at venues across the UK.

2013 saw the band play their first shows out with the UK, opening the football season for packed crowds in Scandinavia. They released 2 videos, Swings & Roundabouts which gained national news both with the written press & TV as it featured Motherwell FC manager & Scotland assistant manager Stuart McCall & Rockstars which detailed the bands video diary on last year. They packed out a sold out headline show at Glasgow's ABC2 in the summer before packing out the Classic Grand at the end of the year. The band toured with Dundee rockers The View & opened 2014 with an excellent performance at King Tuts New Years Revolution.

2014 looks to be an exciting year for the indie 4 piece...
